Mash.tower

Ric is a big fan of mashed potatoes. Me? Not so much, or rather I'm never really in the mood for mash while he tends to get obscene cravings for it. Notwithstanding this, Ric's mash is delicious and I almost always end up polishing off my and his servings.

Ingredients:
  • 1 packet mashing potatoes / Smash
  • 1 packet fresh chives
  • 1-2 onions
  • 1-2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vegetable or olive oil
  • Fry's "chicken" schnitzels
If time is on your side, buy a bag of mashing potatoes, cut and boil them until they're cooked through. Then add vegan margarine or soy milk while mashing the potatoes to your desired consistency. Alternatively, if you're pressed for time, simply use a bag of Smash and add hot water.

Once the mash is mashed, chop one or two onions and fry in a pan with oil and add one or two teaspoons of brown sugar. Fry until the onions are caramelised (brown and sticky). Add the onions and the chopped chives into the mash and mix.

Pile the mash on top of a few of the Fry's oven-baked schnitzels and eat.

YUM.
